Back in March 2011, Simon Lee joined the concept design team for Guillermo del Toro's upcoming
giant monsters epic, "Pacific Rim, " currently slated to be released in the Summer of 2013.

Had a great time at Monsterpalooza! Got to meet up with Brandon and Jarrod Shiflett, Angela Talbot AKA Uber-talent, Kimberly AKA Brandon's awesome
girlfriend, Phil Sera, Scott Whitworth, Casey Love, Norman Meyers, Paul Komoda, Jordu Schell, Steve Wang, Jose Fernandez,
Don Lanning, Bruce Fuller, Mike Hill, Guillermo Del Toro .... the list just goes on and on. The amount of talents there
was just staggering. If you enjoyed monster art and missed it this year, be there in 2011! it'll be worth it!

KAPPA FIGURE CONTEST JAPAN SPECIAL JUDGES' AWARD WINNER!
July 26, 2009: Hosted by Kaiyodo, the KAPPA FIGURE CONTEST 2009 was held on July 26, 2009 at Wonderfest Tokyo.
Simon entered the contest along with Yoshi Masataka and won a Special Judges' Award and 2nd place out of
over 360 entries! (there were two entries tied for first place). And the winning pieces will be on display permanently at
the Kaiyodo Figure Museum in Japan. Although the Spiderzero Kappa resin kit was originally sculpted solely for this contest,
on this winning, all credits go to Yoshi-san for his awesome diorama!
