ABOUT SPiDERZERO
Hello, my name is Simon Lee, also known as Spiderzero in the garage kit sculpting world.
In this little corner of the web, I am a sculptor and a creature designer.
Sculpting has been a hobby of mine since I was a little kid. Although I have never had any official trainings in art,
I did grow up in a family that has always been artistically inclined.
Many people have asked me, but no, I have not worked for any movies or video game studios.
I only started producing my own garage kit models in 2007.
For my model kits, I do exclusively my original designs. I love monster movies, and I love creating new
monsters. Being able to visualize a concept and to see to it that it takes shape in 3-dimensional form is to me,
pure bliss. I'm not a religious person,
but I truly feel blessed that I am able to create my own creatures and monsters and be able to
share my creations with all my new found friends from around the world.
I enjoy the works of Bernini, Michelangelo, Norman Rockwell, Frank Frazetta, The Shiflett Brothers, Les Edwards,
Basil Gogos, Geof Darrow, Steve Wang, Jordu Schell, Carlos Huente, Chen Uen, Takayuki Takeya,
Yasushi Nirasawa, Keita Amemiya and many others.
