Sphinx, a mythical creature with the head of a human, and the body of a lion, is the oldest known monumental sculpture in Egypt and one of the most recognisable statues in the world. The word sphinx comes from the Greek Σφίγξ, meaning "to squeeze", "to tighten up". This name may be derived from the fact that lions kill their prey by strangulation, biting the throat of prey and holding them down until they die.
This Sphinx statue is the original concept of Simon Lee and sculpted by the artist himself in 2017. The collector version protype was painted by Oskar Ankarudd. Pre-order will be open from from Dec 18th to Dec 19th, 2022 (48 hours). All collectibles are made to order. If we reach the edition size earlier than cut off time, the pre-order window will be closed without further notice. Prices are $890 plus $150* for USA domestic shipping, via Fedex with full insurance. Please note: WE CANNOT SHIP TO PO BOXES. California residents will also add sales tax on top of this price.
