SPIDERZERO IRONSIDE

Here's another work-in-progress that was started way back. As the name implies, this guy is a calvary / armoured trooper. Without giving away too much of the design details (just yet), I'd like to think of him as Buzz Lightyear meets Heavy Metal. The sculpture was first done in Super Sculpey (earlier stage pics can be found in the Blah! section of this site). Once the sculpey core was baked, I started the surface details in Chavant NSP. Of all my designs, this is among my personal favourites, so I may actually finish this one :)

He lives!! Even at this rough stage, I like the organic look to the armor.

I was just wondering why you started off with super sculpey for the core then moved to chavant NSP for the surface detail.

hello Phan Wiantrakoon, I don't do the Sculpey+Chavant combination on purpose. It's just that sometimes when the sculpey's baked,
and if I want to add further detail, I have the option of putting chavant over baked sculpey. it's easy to apply and it also gives me the
benefit of utilizing Chavant's advantge into the sculpture. For the same token, I can use Epoxy clay over baked sculpey as well.
